Jakob Junghanss, born June 24, 1994, Basel studied architecture at ETH Zurich, GSD Harvard and CEPT Ahmedabad. Founding member of the practice 8000.agency and active member of the association ZAS*. Guest lecturer at the ArchitekturWerkstatt St.Gallen since 2024.

8000.agency was founded in 2020 by Jakob Junghanss, Lukas Ryffel and Oliver Burch as part of the graduation project Siedlung Wydäckerring at ETH Zürich. Since then, they have been gaining agency on spatial transformation in Zürich and beyond. They engage in this discourse through teaching, writing and exhibiting and act in wider collaboration through ZAS*. As an operational agency they practice in the fields of architecture, landscape and urban design.
